I am the new managing director at Gingernut Creative

The opportunity to help turn Gingernut Creative around was one I couldn’t refuse.

Gingernut Creative has a diverse client list, with a particularly strong presence in the healthcare sector. Its clients include Pfizer, the NHS and local authorities.

This Birmingham-based creative agency helps organisations inspire diverse audiences through expertise in research, strategy, design, branding, digital and video. Its desire to make a positive difference through communications spoke strongly to me as I take corporate social responsibility very seriously.

So, I’m incredibly proud to announce that I’m the new managing director of Gingernut Creative. With my 30+ years of communications experience, I felt it was a role I simply couldn’t pass on.

It’ll be a great honour to lead the great people at Gingernut Creative and redheadPR into an amazing future. But, if this industry has taught me anything, it’ll be challenging, too!

I’m really looking forward to combining the expertise of Gingernut Creative and the strengths of redheadPR, which include PR, corporate social responsibility and online marketing for the benefit of both businesses’ clients.

Many years down the line, with these two businesses flourishing, I hope to realise my dream and leave an amazing legacy behind.

Our new website is now live! We worked with InterStudios to refresh our online presence and create a responsive website. The result? Usability is enhanced and our content is easier to access and take in.

A strong web presence is key to modern PR and our website gives us just that. It’s a fantastic platform that presents us, our work and our skills and experience.

We’re really excited to be working with Rita Trehan, the business transformation expert. With a strong reputation among Fortune 200 companies, Rita helps transform businesses large and small into more effective organisations. She’s written articles in the Washington Post, (here and here). You can learn more about Rita at http://ritatrehan.com/.

We’ve done serious work on our training packages, too. As a result, I’ll be conducting one-day PR workshops for start-ups across the country. To find out more, email me at sara@redheadpr.co.uk.

I’ve also been training to take part in the Ironman 70.3. It’s a tough challenge but it will be highly rewarding. Finding the time to train is a real juggling act, but there’s not long to go now - it’s on 28 June.

Hitting the ground running in 2015

With the New Year now well underway, we at redheadPR can hardly contain our excitement. Already, I’ve spoken at the Business Bootcamp with Shaa Wasmund in London. Addressing more than 200 business owners eager to grow their business in 2015, I talked in depth about maximising PR activity and the incredible results that follow.

Speaking of events, we started the year by helping the fantastic UTC Swindon with its first open day of 2015. It’s a real thrill to help the college reach out to the engineers of the future and we’re looking forward to helping out with any more open days throughout the year.

We’re also looking forward to the Garden Press Event in February.

In fact, it’ll be a very busy year for us in terms of horticulture. We’re now an associate members of GIMA (Garden Industry Manufacturers Association) which we are very proud of.

We’ve also launched the Stewart Garden Schools campaign for the third year running. Helping children to interact with the environment in creative and innovative ways, the campaign is already starting to generate fantastic momentum.

Finally, let’s not forget what an exciting year in general this will be. With the general election and Her Majesty The Queen becoming the longest reigning monarch in British history, it’s a year I’m looking forward to greatly. And how can we forget the launch of our new website.

Bring on 2015!

Merry Christmas from redheadPR

Christmas and New Year is the perfect time to reflect on what we've done and achieved this year. And at redheadPR, 2014 was a year to remember.

A big highlight for us was  working with UTC Swindon. We amassed over 6,000 Facebook likes for the college, which was opened by none other than His Royal Highness, The Duke of York. UTC Swindon is now thriving in the heart of Swindon, inspiring the next generation of engineers who will go on to uphold the town’s great tradition in the sector.

We secured fantastic coverage in some top publications. These ranged from The Independent and Daily Mail to Marie Claire and OK! magazine. We also secured prime TV and radio coverage for clients in the consumer sector.

In the horticulture industry, we grew again. We joined the Garden Industry Manufacturers' Association (GIMA) and I had the honour of presenting the Best Blog award at the Garden Media Guild Awards at the Savoy Hotel in London.

redheadPR won several new clients, such as Renée Maguire, a pioneer of the raw food movement, and Kelkay, the market-leading manufacturer and distributor of aggregates.

We hope you too had a fantastic 2014. Here’s to 2015!

From all of us at redheadPR, Merry Christmas and very happy New Year.

We’ve joined GIMA

We’re thrilled to have become an associate member of GIMA, the Garden Industry Manufacturers' Association.

GIMA is an astounding organisation. It promotes members’ activities, connects industry colleagues and customers, represents suppliers’ interests and provides business intelligence. In short, GIMA helps its members build their businesses with the garden industry.

It’s great to work alongside other associate members such as The Garden & Home Press Event and Garden Trade News. We’re looking forward to sharing our industry knowledge, experience and expertise with our fellow members and GIMA – and learning from them, too.

Joining GIMA was a natural development for redheadPR. We’ve worked with many clients in the gardening and horticulture industry over many years. These include Anthony Tesselaar International, raingardenkits.co.uk, John Woods Nurseries, Mattocks and grow-your-own specialist, Stewart Garden, together with the popular gardening broadcaster and writer, Pippa Greenwood, who supported the Stewart Garden Schools campaign.

Most recently we have worked with Briers, the design-led gardening products specialist, and Kelkay, the market-leading manufacturer and distributor of aggregates.

We understand this market and we’re looking forward to working with GIMA.
